Draft – pending legal review
Terms of service
Last updated: 11 October 2026 (draft)
These terms are the rules for using MyRegista. Please read them. By creating an account or using MyRegista, you agree to them.
This is a draft. Our lawyers are still checking it, and it may change before it becomes final.
1. What MyRegista is
MyRegista is an online tool that helps cooperatives, associations, unions and clubs in Nigeria register members, collect dues, give receipts and keep records. It is run by [registered company name], [registered address] (RC number: [RC number]). These details are still to be completed.
2. Your organisation and its members
- Each organisation owns its relationship with its members. The organisation decides who can join, what fees to charge and how its money is used.
- MyRegista does not hold members’ dues as its own money and is not a bank.
- Questions about your membership, fees or how your organisation spends money should go to your organisation first.
3. Your account
- Give true details when you register, and keep your phone number and email up to date.
- You sign in with one-time codes sent to your phone or email. Never share a code with anyone.
- Tell us or your organisation straight away if you think someone else is using your account.
4. Payments
- Online payments are handled by Paystack. Paystack’s own terms also apply when you pay.
- The amount to pay, including any charges, is shown before you pay.
- Anyone can pay for a member using the member number. Check the name shown before you pay.
- Every successful payment gets a receipt you can check in the app.
5. Cash payments
Officers can record cash a member pays them. The officer who records cash is responsible for it being true. If a cash payment recorded for you is wrong or missing, tell your organisation or use “Report a problem” in the app.
6. Refunds and mistakes
If you paid by mistake or paid too much, you can ask for a refund in the app. Your organisation decides on refunds for dues. We will help where a payment went wrong on our side.
7. Fees for organisations
Organisations pay MyRegista a one-time onboarding fee and a monthly platform fee, as shown on our pricing page and in the app. If a bill stays unpaid after the grace period, officers may only be able to view records and pay the bill until it is paid.
8. Fair use
You must not:
- Use MyRegista for fraud, to collect money you are not entitled to, or for anything illegal.
- Pretend to be someone else or add people without their permission.
- Try to get into accounts or records that are not yours, or disrupt the service.
- Send abusive or misleading messages through MyRegista.
9. Suspending or closing accounts
We may pause or close an account or organisation that breaks these terms, puts other people at risk, or where the law requires it. Where we can, we will tell you first and explain why.
10. Our responsibility
- We work hard to keep MyRegista available and correct, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted, for example during network problems or maintenance.
- We are not responsible for decisions an organisation makes about its members or money, or for losses caused by information that was entered wrongly.
- Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under Nigerian law, including consumer protection law.
11. Your information
How we use your information is explained in our Privacy notice.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and tell you in the app about important changes. If you keep using MyRegista after a change, you accept the new terms.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If there is a problem, please contact us first at hello@myregista.com so we can try to fix it. If we cannot agree, the dispute will go to the courts of Nigeria.
