Questions people ask
Can members still pay cash?
Yes. An officer records the cash in the app, even with no network at the meeting, and the member immediately gets a text confirming it.
Do members need a smartphone or an email address?
No email is needed. Members sign in with their phone number and a PIN. Members without a smartphone still get receipts and reminders by text, and an officer can sign them up at a meeting.
Can someone pay for a member?
Yes. Family, friends or an employer can pay using only the member’s number. They see only the member’s first name and initial, never their phone number or history.
What documents do we need to register?
Your society’s details, its bank account, and a registration certificate such as your CAC or Ministry of Cooperatives certificate. We confirm the bank account belongs to your society before approval.
Can each member pay a different amount?
Yes. You set the usual amounts, and can set different amounts for individual members or groups such as executives. A change only affects future payments.
What happens if a payment goes wrong?
If money left your account but there is no receipt, the app checks straight away and either fixes it or raises a complaint for you. Extra payments become credit or are refunded.
Can we get our records out?
Yes. Your society can download all its data at any time.
